Xiaomi announced last month that it has reached a global imaging strategic cooperation with Leica. The century-old legendary imaging and innovative technology are integrated to open a new era of mobile imaging! The first product will be released in July.
Lei Jun, founder, chairman and CEO of Xiaomi Group, is now warming up for the upcoming new phone and brought pictures of the final joint imaging meeting between Xiaomi and Leica. Lei Jun quoted the technical director of Leica's optical design and image tuning as saying: "We have invested all of Leica's more than 100 years of experience in imaging into Xiaomi's new products."
It is reported that this new flagship phone to be released in July is the first flagship phone of the cooperation between Xiaomi and Leica. On May 23 this year, Xiaomi officially announced that it had reached a strategic imaging cooperation with Leica.
According to previously exposed information, Xiaomi Leica’s first joint debugging flagship released in July may be named “Xiaomi 12 Ultra”.
As the second half of the year is getting closer, more and more news about the Xiaomi 12 Ultra mobile phone has begun to appear recently.
A suspected Xiaomi Mi 12 Ultra engineering machine appeared on Xianyu before, which was equipped with the Leica logo and supported 120X zoom. In addition, the Xiaomi Mi 12 Ultra phone case was exposed, which had 7 holes on it, corresponding to various camera sensors, lidar, and flash.
There were previous reports that the Xiaomi 12 Ultra mobile phone is expected to be released in June or July this year.
It was previously revealed that the Xiaomi 12 Ultra will use a 6.73-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 3200×1440 and LTPO 2.0 technology, and its adaptive adjustment can reach a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz.
The Xiaomi 12 Ultra consumer version will use the TSMC version of Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ chip. Its imaging system includes a 50-megapixel main camera, a 48-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 48-megapixel periscope telephoto lens. The front camera is also 48 million pixels, which is Xiaomi's highest-pixel front camera to date.
The report also claims that the Xiaomi Mi 12 Ultra may also be equipped with the self-developed Surge C2 ISP to improve image quality.
In addition, the Xiaomi 12 Ultra main camera may use the Sony IMX 989 sensor, which may have an area of nearly one inch.
