More than 250 days after its release, iOS 15 has an estimated adoption rate of nearly 90%, according to mobile analytics firm Mixpanel.
According to Mixpanel, adoption of iOS 15 is estimated at 88.9%, up nearly 10% from 10 weeks ago. Mixpanel's numbers are based on tracking visits to apps and websites that use its mobile analytics SDK, so they are not entirely accurate. The last time Apple provided adoption data for iOS 15 was in January, saying that 72% of iPhones released in the past four years were running the company's latest iOS version.
iOS 15 has seen lower adoption rates compared to iOS 14, in part because it was a relatively minor update and there were several bugs that initially affected users when the update was first released.
Next week, Apple will release iOS 16 and iPadOS 16 at the Worldwide Developers Conference.
