Firefox today announced the release of Firefox 100, the latest version of the popular browser that brings new features to mobile devices and desktop to enhance the browsing experience.
On Mac, Firefox 100 supports High Dynamic Range (HDR) video for high-fidelity video content. This feature requires an HDR-compatible Mac running macOS 11 or later. There are also new subtitles on the desktop when using picture-in-picture mode, and subtitles can be used on websites that support the WebVTT format, such as YouTube, Netflix, and Prime Video.
A new language switching feature allows Firefox to detect the device's language preference and ask users if they want to switch to their preferred language, and credit card autofill has also been expanded to the UK, France, and Germany.
Finally, updated versions of Firefox for Mac computers can be downloaded from the Firefox website.
