On March 9, 2022, WPG Holdings, a leading semiconductor component distributor dedicated to the Asia-Pacific market, announced that its subsidiary WPI has launched a USB headset solution based on Artery's AT32F403A MCU .

In recent years, with the continuous iteration of Bluetooth technology, wireless headphones have become the trendsetter of the new era. However, not all headphones are suitable for "wireless". In some real-time confrontation game scenarios that have strict requirements on audio-visual delay, users said that using Bluetooth headphones is prone to long sound delays, causing the phenomenon of audio and video being out of sync, which cannot meet the ever-changing situation in the game. Therefore, compared with Bluetooth transmission, game enthusiasts are more willing to choose a "wired" method to suit actual application scenarios. WPG World Peace The USB headphone solution based on Artery AT32F403A MCU can reduce the distortion caused by computer boards, provide better and clearer sound effects, and also have better compatibility.

Artery Technology was founded in 2016. It is a chip (MCU) design company dedicated to promoting innovation in 32-bit microcontrollers. It was recognized as a high-tech enterprise in 2019. Artery focuses on the research and development and innovation of 32-bit microcontrollers based on ARM®Cortex®-M4/M0+. It has R&D branches in Taiwan and Jiangsu, and sales and technical support branches in Shenzhen. The AT32F403A used in this solution is a high-performance MCU under Artery. It is equipped with a 32-bit ARM®Cortex®-M4 core and a 55nm advanced process to effectively improve overall performance and achieve a computing speed of up to 240MHz.
In addition to integrating high-performance computing performance, AT32F403A also has a built-in single-precision floating-point unit (FPU) and digital signal processor (DSP), and it has a rich peripherals and flexible clock control mechanism to meet the application of various fields. In addition, the product also has a complete USB example program, which not only has a highly flexible and customized product, but also meets the needs of current customers.

In this solution, AT32F403A is connected to the computer through USB Audio Class, and controls WM8988 Audio codec through I2S to realize complete USB headset function, which can eventually reach 16K/48K/96K audio sampling rate, and supports sampling rate switching, mute, volume adjustment, Feedback and other functions.
