OnePlus has already launched its latest flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 10 Pro, in the Chinese market. The company is yet to bring the device to global markets, and the release of the standard OnePlus 10 is also pending.
Meanwhile, a new report claims that OnePlus is preparing to launch a new phone called OnePlus 10R sometime in the second quarter of this year.
It is reported that the OnePlus 10R will be equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chip. According to a report by Android Central, the OnePlus 10 will not use the Dimensity 9000 because it lacks millimeter wave support for 5G, which makes it unsuitable for the North American market.
As for the 10R, the company is offering R-suffixed devices only in the Asian market, so there is a possibility that the Dimensity 9000 will be used on this device.
As for the other specifications of the 10R, the smartphone is expected to feature an AMOLED screen that offers a 120Hz refresh rate. Internally, it will house at least 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
