Qorvo Technology Expands Market Access to Support Android® Smartphone Ecosystem
Beijing, China, December 23, 2021 - Qorvo®, a leading provider of RF solutions for mobile, infrastructure and aerospace and defense applications, today announced that it is providing ultra-wideband (UWB) technology for the Google Pixel 6 Pro flagship smartphone . The Qorvo DW3720 UWB solution supports a variety of new use cases, from "find my stuff" applications and indoor positioning/indoor navigation to protecting peer-to-peer hybrid transactions and other location-based "security-like" applications. Ultra-wideband provides accurate distance and location information, allowing connected devices to perceive the usage environment, thereby enabling a seamless, secure and intuitive user experience.

Qorvo 's ultra-wideband solution for the Google Pixel 6 Pro uses the DW3720 transceiver and provides full software support for the Android operating system. The software stack developed by Qorvo for the Pixel 6 Pro is compatible with other Android devices.
Qorvo 's ultra-wideband solutions comply with the IEEE 802.15.4z standard, as well as the FiRa Alliance PHY-MAC specification and the Car Connectivity Consortium (CCC) specification.
