Yang Xudong reiterated that integrated circuits are the core technology of the information technology industry and are a strategic, basic and leading industry that supports the development of the information society. my country attaches great importance to the development of the integrated circuit industry and strives to create a good development environment for the innovative development of the industry.

Yang Xudong said that with the support of the decision-making and deployment of the Party Central Committee and various national policies, the outstanding "China Core" enterprises and all practitioners have not forgotten their original aspirations, forged ahead, shared the same breath and destiny with the industry, and promoted the comprehensive and rapid development of my country's integrated circuit industry. The overall level of the industrial chain has been greatly improved, and it has become an indispensable and important part of the global industrial system.

In 2020, despite the adverse impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, my country's integrated circuit industry sales still achieved a substantial growth of 17%, far exceeding the global average. Yang Xudong pointed out that according to statistics from the first three quarters of this year, my country's integrated circuit industry still maintained a steady growth rate, achieving sales of 685.8 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 16%, and has become an important backbone force in my country's fight to win the battle against the epidemic and support the development of the national economy.

The global integrated circuit industry has entered a major adjustment period. Facing the unprecedented changes and key opportunities in the development of the industry, Yang Xudong believes that the role of integrated circuits in the national economy and social development will be further highlighted. In addition, he also emphasized that as the competent department of the industry, the Electronic Information Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will strengthen cooperation with relevant departments in the future to jointly promote the continuous high-quality development of the integrated circuit industry, and focus on promoting related work from the following aspects:
