12 key projects including Xinchaolu and Guangdong-Macao Semiconductor Fund signed

On December 6, a signing ceremony for key projects in the Hengqin Guangdong-Macao Deep Cooperation Zone and a unveiling ceremony for people’s livelihood projects were held.

It is reported that among the 12 signed key projects: 4 are Australian-funded projects, namely the Xinchao Integrated Circuit Project, the Hengqin Da'an International Innovation Valley Biomedicine Project, the Molecular Traditional Chinese Medicine Health Industry Project, and the Guangdong-Macao Semiconductor Fund; 8 are non-Australian-funded projects, namely the Guangdong Institute of Intelligent Science and Technology Project, the China Electronics Network Industry International Innovation Center Project, the Jiuhai Semiconductor Project, and the Guangdong Semiconductor and Integrated Circuit Industry Fund Design Sub-Fund and other projects.

The following is an overview of some of the signed projects:

China Electronics Network and Information Industry International Innovation Center Project. The project will rely on the comprehensive advantages of China Electronics, focusing on integrated circuit design, software development, network security services, digital services, supply chain platforms, industrial finance and other fields, to create an industrial gathering platform, a highland for scientific and technological innovation and an international talent cooperation platform, and contribute to the construction of a cyber power, a digital China and a cooperation zone.

The total investment of the project is about RMB 3 billion. By introducing the world's top communication technology, Wisdom Capital and its entity operating enterprise, Guangda Rongzhi Industrial Group's industrial chain resources, the project will develop data center and network chip businesses, develop cloud data center chips and communication high-speed interconnect chips, and establish a network chip design cluster.

Guangdong-Macao Semiconductor Fund Project. The fund has a registered scale of RMB 10 billion and was jointly initiated by Zhuhai State-owned Assets Platform and Xinxin Leasing. It closely focuses on the integrated circuit industry chain, introduces major industrial projects to settle in the cooperation zone, promotes the diversified development of Macau's industries, and helps build an international science and technology innovation center in the Greater Bay Area.

Guangdong Semiconductor and Integrated Circuit Industry Fund Design Sub-Fund Project. The fund has been focusing on investment in high-tech industries such as integrated circuits and artificial intelligence for many years, and is committed to investing in the global semiconductor and integrated circuit industry chain, and introducing high-quality companies invested by its funds into the cooperation zone.

Jiuhai Semiconductor Project. This project will form a team of 100 people to carry out targeted research on mid-to-high-end automotive-grade MCU/MPU and sensor chips, actively integrate into the development atmosphere of the integrated circuit industry in the cooperation zone, and participate in building the integrated circuit industry ecosystem in Qianhai-Macao.
