Macronix Chairman Wu Min-chiu said today (10) that NOR Flash will be out of stock until next year and prices will also increase.

However, Morgan Stanley holds a different view. The agency believes that consumer electronics demand is weak, US NB inventory continues to increase, and PC and TV demand is slowing, especially in China. TV shipments for the whole year may fall by double digits year-on-year. NOR Flash has limited upside potential in the fourth quarter. It is expected that supply and demand will be more balanced in 2022, and pricing in the first quarter will be flat to down compared with the previous quarter.

According to Taiwan media Central News Agency, Macronix's revenue in October was NT$5.715 billion (same unit below), an increase of 0.6% from September and 48.8% from the same period last year. Its revenue has hit a record high for the same period in history for seven consecutive months. Its cumulative revenue in the first 10 months of this year was NT$41.743 billion, a year-on-year increase of 24.7%, surpassing last year's full-year revenue of NT$39.801 billion.

In addition, Wu Minqiu revealed that the company's storage products have entered the low-orbit satellite field.
