According to Twitter whistleblower @IceUniverse, Samsung Electronics will soon launch a new generation of mobile phone processor "Exynos 1280", with specifications lower than Exynos 1080. This means that this processor is likely to be used in entry-level smartphones and tablets.
Although the production process, CPU or GPU information related to Exynos 1280 has not yet been disclosed, it has been revealed that the new processor may support 5G communications.
Unlike most Galaxy smartphones and tablets in 2021, which use MediaTek or Qualcomm chips, it is rumored that most of Samsung's devices released in 2022 will be equipped with its own Exynos processors. There are even reports that Samsung is developing at least two high-end Exynos processors, a mid-range and at least one entry-level Exynos processor.
Among them, the long-awaited Exynos 2200 will debut in the Galaxy S22 series and is expected to be manufactured using Samsung's 4nm process. It is rumored that the processor of this product has a total of 8 cores, consisting of 1 Cortex-X22.9Ghz super core, 3 2.8GHz large cores, and 4 2.2GHz small cores. At the same time, the integrated AMD GPU frequency is 1250Mhz, which is higher than the Apple A14 in graphics card running points.
