GaN company Crystal Semiconductor receives new round of financing from Silergy and other investors

Recently, Jingtong Semiconductor (JTM) completed a seed round and seed+ round financing of tens of millions of RMB. The investors are Silergy Semiconductor Technology (Hangzhou) Co., Ltd. and Yongchuang Weiye.

Jingtong Semiconductor (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. was founded by a team of returnees from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology. According to Yongchuang Weiye, the founder Liu Dan graduated from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology and has many years of work experience in well-known semiconductor manufacturers. Liu Dan said that the company is determined to become a Chinese gallium nitride (GaN) semiconductor device and driver chip unicorn, and become a link between Switzerland, the European "Silicon Valley", and Shenzhen, China, the world's manufacturing center.

At the product level, Jingtong Semiconductor currently develops and designs two series of products, namely gallium nitride (GaN) power devices and device driver chips.

It is reported that compared with traditional IGBT and MOSFET, GaN power devices are more prone to false triggering and damage in power electronics applications due to their high switching speed, low threshold voltage, low gate breakdown voltage, etc. Jingtong Semiconductor's Smart-Driver technology supports a variety of intelligent driving functions, greatly improving the product reliability, switching frequency, energy efficiency and user-friendliness of GaN devices.
