MediaTek announced in May this year that it would recruit more than 2,000 people throughout the year. In response to future business needs, it announced yesterday that it would continue to expand its recruitment of talents. Not counting the positions already recruited this year, it will continue to recruit more than 2,000 people in the future. The total number of people recruited by MediaTek this year will exceed 3,000, which is the highest number of annual recruitments in history.
MediaTek is now implementing a "fast, aggressive, and accurate" strategy for recruiting. "Agile" means increasing starting salaries significantly, and "fast" means that instead of waiting until March and April every year for campus recruitment, MediaTek has already started planning activities as soon as the school starts this year, and is pre-hiring next year's graduating freshmen, which has resulted in a three-fold increase in campus recruitment quotas compared to the past.
"Accurate" means precise recruitment, and employees are encouraged to recommend outstanding talents. Prizes include top ergonomic office chairs worth more than 50,000 yuan, Gogoro electric motorcycles, etc. MediaTek's stock price rose by 7 yuan yesterday, closing at 903 yuan.
MediaTek CEO Rick Tsai said that MediaTek is the largest IC design company in Taiwan. In the second quarter of this year, it ranked ninth among the top ten semiconductor suppliers in the world. It has always adhered to the concept of global layout and continuous innovation, invested heavily in research and development to lead innovative technologies, and maintained strong growth momentum for its full range of products. The goal is to build the company into the most competitive IC design company in the world.
Cai Lixing pointed out that MediaTek's headquarters is in Taiwan, and its core R&D and marketing teams are centered in Taiwan, radiating to the world with a total of more than 50 important bases at home and abroad.
He emphasized that as long as employees are willing to accept challenges, they can actually participate in important project plans of world-class customers, have a considerable impact on the daily lives of consumers, and gain a priceless sense of accomplishment in addition to giving full play to their personal expertise.
By the end of last year, MediaTek's employee number exceeded 17,000. After deducting the number of people who have resigned this year and adding the number of positions to be recruited, the number of employees by the end of this year will be close to 20,000.
In May this year, MediaTek announced that the annual salary of fresh graduates with a master's degree could reach more than 1.5 million yuan, and the annual salary of fresh graduates with a doctorate could reach more than 2 million yuan. Now, it is stepping up its efforts to attract talents, emphasizing that the annual salary of master's graduates can reach 2 million yuan, and that of doctoral graduates can reach 2.5 million yuan.
