MediaTek Chairman Tsai Ming-kai said at the annual shareholders meeting on the 5th that the King Yuan Electronics incident is a short-term impact and shipments are expected to return to normal in the third quarter.

From the perspective of short-term operations, MediaTek's revenue in May was NT$41.326 billion, a 13% increase from April, setting a new record high and an increase of nearly 90% from the same period last year; the cumulative revenue in the first five months of this year reached NT$185.93 billion, an increase of 80% from the same period last year.

Although the foreign workers of its supplier King Yuan Electronics were suspended for two weeks, which will affect MediaTek's revenue in June, the company has not changed its second-quarter financial forecast. Based on the combined revenue of 77.898 billion yuan in April and May, the combined revenue in June will exceed 40.902 billion yuan, continuing to stay above the 40 billion yuan mark, still the second highest in history.
