The iPhone 12 is Apple's newest phone, so how much faster is it than the original iPhone? Now, a new speed test aims to quantify just how much faster the iPhone 12 is than the original iPhone.
While it might sound silly to compare the iPhone 12 to the original iPhone in a speed test, Apple actually often uses comparisons with its first-generation devices, most recently at the launch of the new iPad Pro, where Apple said the new M1 chip offers 75 times the CPU performance and 1,500 times the GPU performance of the original iPad.
PhoneBuff recently conducted a speed test using the iPhone 12 and the first-generation iPhone. You may want to take a look.
The iPhone 12 is powered by the impressive A14 Bionic chip, which has a 6-core CPU running at 3.1GHz. In comparison, the original iPhone from 2007 had a single-core CPU running at just 412MHz.
