With the launch of HarmonyOS 2, Huawei is currently running EMUI and HarmonyOS in parallel on mobile phones. Considering that the HarmonyOS 2.0 upgrade covers models as early as Kirin 960, it is not difficult to judge that HarmonyOS will be Huawei's top priority at the operating system level in the future.
Does this mean that EMUI is dying?
Now there is an unexpected discovery. Some foreigners noticed that the EMUI 12 system was mentioned in the latest version of Huawei PC Manager, and more than once.
One guess is that Huawei has not given up on developing EMUI based on Android. After all, some things may turn around in the future. There is also a view that Hongmeng is already an unstoppable trend, and EMUI 12 may be a typo in software development, and it is actually EMUI 11.
Considering that the official Weibo account of EMUI has been renamed HarmonyOS, the second possibility is more likely.
At present, EMUI 11 is deeply built based on Android 10, and the major version of the Android system has been advanced to 12, and the public Beta has been opened, and it is expected to be formally released in July and August.
Of course, we will have to wait for time to verify what the truth is.
