Not long ago, Samsung and Japanese mobile operator NTT Docomo released the Galaxy S21 Olympic Commemorative Edition to celebrate the upcoming Tokyo Olympics.
Today, according to media reports, the Samsung S21 commemorative edition is now available for pre-sale. The price is 112,464 yen (approximately 6,545 yuan) and can be ordered through the NTT Docomo website.
In terms of appearance, the Samsung Galaxy S21 commemorative edition is mainly "Ocean Blue" in color, the lens module is decorated with gold, and the back is printed with Galaxy, the Olympic five-ring logo and the logo of Japanese telecom operator NTT Docomo.
In addition, the wallpapers, desktop icons, etc. of this commemorative edition of Samsung S21 have been deeply customized to match the Tokyo Olympics, and the packaging box has also been specially designed.
In terms of specifications, the S21 commemorative edition is based on the S21 standard edition, equipped with a Snapdragon 888 processor, a 6.2-inch OLED screen, a 64-megapixel AI triple camera, a 4000mAh battery, etc.
It is worth noting that Samsung originally planned to launch the S20+ Olympic Commemorative Edition in 2020, but because the Olympics were postponed to this year, the release of the S20+ Olympic Commemorative Edition was cancelled.
With less than two months to go before the opening of the Tokyo Olympics, the epidemic in Japan is still spreading.
According to opinion polls, more than half of Japanese people want the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics to be canceled or postponed again due to the worsening COVID-19 epidemic.
But International Olympic Committee President Thomas Bach reiterated that the Tokyo Olympics will be held as planned.
Earlier media reports said that the government's original plan for the Tokyo Olympics spectator program planned to allow spectators to enter, but required spectators to show proof of a negative COVID-19 test within one week.
