After OPPO announced that it would provide three years of software security updates for its Find X3 series, vivo also issued a related statement.

The manufacturer recently announced that it will provide three years of updates for some X-series models launched after July 2021. This means that in addition to three years of security updates, these devices will also receive three operating system upgrades.

The source revealed that the update policy covers eligible devices officially sold in Europe, Australia and India. It also added that those high-end X-series models that are not eligible will continue to receive regular Android security updates.

Software support is an important criterion for smartphone buyers, especially those who buy high-end models, as no one wants to end up with an expensive phone that will not be updated at all or not updated in a timely manner.
