Although there are still a few months away from the iPhone 13 series launch conference, as the release time approaches, various rumors and leaks about the iPhone 13 have frequently leaked.

Recently, according to media Etnews reports, BOE, which became the iPhone OLED panel supplier for the first time last year, still failed to provide flexible OLED panels for the new iPhone this time.

It is reported that Samsung Display and LGD have decided to provide flexible OLED panels for the iPhone 13 to be launched in the fall, while BOE has not yet obtained supply approval.

In February this year, market research firm Qunzhi Consulting released the "2020 Global Smartphone Panel" market report, showing that the total global smartphone panel shipments in 2020 were 1.888 billion pieces, a year-on-year increase of 6%.

Among them, BOE became the world's number one panel manufacturer with 408 million pieces shipped, accounting for 21.6% of the market share, a year-on-year increase of 5.2%.

From the data information, we can see that BOE's shipments mainly rely on a-Si panels, with a total shipment of 278 million pieces, accounting for about 70% of BOE's smartphone panel shipments.

However, although BOE has surpassed Samsung to become the world's largest smartphone panel supplier, in fact 70% of its shipments rely on a-Si panels.

In the most profitable OLED panel market, Samsung still ranks first with 370 million pieces shipped.

Earlier news said that the total shipments of iPhone OLED panels this year will reach 169 million units, of which Samsung will account for about 110 million units, accounting for 65%, LG will account for about 5,000 units, accounting for 29.6%, and BOE will account for about 900 units, accounting for 5.3%.

It is understood that BOE Technology Group Co., Ltd. was founded in 1993. It is an Internet of Things company that provides smart terminal products and professional services for information interaction and human health. Its core businesses include terminal devices, smart Internet of Things and smart medical engineering.
