Huawei's tablet shipments fell 33% year-on-year in the first quarter

Recently, Strategy Analytics, a well-known semiconductor data analysis agency, released the global tablet shipments as of March this year.

During the epidemic, home learning and remote work stimulated the global demand for tablet computers. Apple, Samsung, Lenovo and Amazon all had outstanding tablet computer performance in the first quarter of 2021. Data shows that Huawei's tablet computer shipments fell 33% year-on-year in the first quarter of this year, with a global market share of 4.4%, while Apple's shipments soared 75%, with a global market share of 36.7%.

Industry analyst Chirag Upadhyayre said: "Apple's performance last quarter was very strong, but many of its Android competitors, such as Samsung, Lenovo and Amazon, are not far behind."

In terms of systems, as shown in the above figure, Android tablet shipments in the first quarter were 23.8 million units, a year-on-year increase of 32%, with a market share of 51.9%. iOS shipments in the first quarter were 16.8 million units, a year-on-year increase of 75%, with a market share of 26.7%.
