In the latest investment report, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo used the clear term iPhone 13 for the first time, which seems to imply that Apple will not adopt the iPhone 12s naming method.
At the same time, he confirmed that the iPhone 13 series still has four models, namely iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max.
In terms of component selection, Mr. Guo pointed out that the iPhone 13 mini, 13 and 13 Pro will all use a 7P wide-angle lens with an F1.6 aperture. However, the 7P wide-angle head of the iPhone 13 Pro Max has a larger aperture of F1.5.
As for suppliers, Ming-Chi Kuo learned from his research that Sunny Optical's 7P lens has been successfully verified on the iPhone 13, and is expected to have a yield rate comparable to or even higher than that of Yujing Optical. It has passed Apple's verification and will be shipped to LG Innotek for assembly as early as May. However, the total amount of 7P lenses in the iPhone 13 is only about 10%.
Ming-Chi Kuo expressed optimism about Sunny Optical's shipment momentum in the Apple system in the next three years, including iPad products.
For the iPhone 13 series, it is rumored that the bangs area will be reduced, the Pro series will be upgraded to a 120Hz refresh rate LTPO panel, X60 5G baseband, and matte black color will be introduced.
