According to Jiwei.com, on March 22, ZTE's 2020 annual performance briefing was held online.
It was revealed at the meeting that ZTE is actively responding to the risk of semiconductor production capacity. Currently, the global semiconductor industry is facing tight supply of production capacity, and partners in the industry chain have been affected to varying degrees.
ZTE has a relatively stable leading strategic partner. In the early stage of the tense market, it has increased its efforts in forecasting and preparing materials in advance, and at the same time improved efficiency through its own use and turnover, trying its best to meet the needs of global customers and minimize the impact as much as possible.
ZTE actively responds to global market risks and challenges and has established a sound management system and emergency response mechanism for supply chain business continuity. In response to material supply risks, we have built a defense line from three aspects: strengthening resource layout, eliminating exclusive supply, preparing key materials in advance, and estimating order fulfillment risks, to improve supply resilience and flexibility and ensure timely delivery of global projects.
It was also mentioned at the meeting that ZTE is leveraging its ICT advantages to expand into automotive electronics and only do the "integration".
ZTE's automotive electronics business is a natural thing from a technical perspective. In the process of CT and IT R&D and the integration of CT and IT, ZTE has the capabilities required for automotive electronics: hardware, software, operating system, database, connection, big data and AI, etc.; ZTE has gained experience in high-reliability and high-performance system integration in the process of long-term service in operator network construction. Secondly, customers have clear needs. Just like the evolution of terminals from feature phones to smartphones many years ago. In this regard, ZTE cooperates with customers to play to its strengths and couples the links in the virtual world with the links in the physical world. This is also an evolution of ZTE based on its own deterministic advantages.
In the field of automotive electronics, ZTE only does "integration" and uses its own capabilities in the ICT field to help customers succeed.
