If DisplaySearch analyst Ross Young is to be believed, the fate of the Galaxy Note series may be a little more complicated. According to Young, the Galaxy Note 21 and Galaxy Note 21 Ultra have indeed been canceled, but Samsung will launch the Galaxy Note 20 Fan Edition ( FE ) sometime this year.
If we look at the previous Samsung FE series, the Galaxy Note 20 FE will be a low-profile version of the current Galaxy Note 20. The Galaxy Note 20 uses a 6.7-inch 1080p display, 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, equipped with a 4300mAh battery, and the device already uses a plastic body instead of the metal and glass material of the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. Young also estimates that with the exit of the Galaxy Note 21 and Galaxy Note 21 Ultra, and the Galaxy S21 Ultra gaining S Pen support, sales of the entire Galaxy S21 series will be significantly improved over the previous Galaxy S20 series.
