On January 22, the National Intellectual Property Administration held a regular press conference for the first quarter. According to data from the National Intellectual Property Administration, in 2020, my country authorized 530,000 invention patents, and the number of domestic (excluding Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) invention patents was 2.213 million. Among them, the position of enterprises as the main body of innovation has been further consolidated, and there are 246,000 domestic enterprises with valid invention patents, an increase of 33,000 over the previous year.
According to a report recently released by the global patent database incoPat, as of December 31, 2020, among the top 20 corporate patent owners (without merger of rights holders), OPPO ranked second with 3,580 invention patent authorizations.

From the perspective of IPC classification, the invention patent authorizations announced in 2020 are mainly concentrated in several categories, including G06 (calculation; estimation; counting), H04 (electrical communication technology), G01 (measurement; testing), and H01 (basic electrical components). Among them, OPPO ranks second in the number of invention authorizations in the two major categories of G06 and H04.

2020 is the year of accelerated deployment and large-scale commercialization of 5G networks. OPPO continues to deploy 5G communication standard patents in more than 20 countries and regions around the world. So far, OPPO has completed more than 3,600 families of global patent applications and claimed more than 1,400 families of 5G standard patents in ETSI. OPPO has submitted more than 3,000 standard documents to 3GPP, ranking among the top.
In 2020, OPPO proposed the brand belief of "Technology for People, Good for the World" and released the "3+N+X" technological leap strategy to support the construction of a new ecosystem where all things are interconnected.
Specifically, "3" refers to the basic technologies of hardware, software and services.
