       After more than ten years of being online, MiTalk finally came to an end.

  MiTalk officially announced that it will stop account registration and message sending and receiving from 12:00 on February 1, and stop login and shut down the server from 12:00 on February 19.

  The official reminds users to export chat records, personal information and other information by themselves before the service is stopped (Android v8.8.70 and above support batch export). After the service is stopped, any user information in MiTalk will not be exported.

  After investigation, it was found that the last major update of MiTalk was in 2019, when the PC 4.0 Windows/Mac version was launched, and it also covered Ubuntu, thus achieving full platform support. I thought MiTalk had hope of rebirth, but I didn't expect it to be in vain in the end.

  It is reported that MiTalk was launched by Xiaomi Studio in December 2010. It was originally positioned as a cross-platform, cross-operator mobile text messaging tool. As long as your mobile phone can access the Internet, you can use the free walkie-talkie function.

  Although the concept was earlier than WeChat, fate made it a runner-up and announced its farewell just after its 10th birthday.

  The following is the official announcement:

  Dear MiTalk users:

  Since its release, MiTalk has been deeply supported and loved by everyone. The MiTalk team would like to express our deep gratitude. Due to business changes, we will stop the MiTalk service at 12:00 on February 19, 2021. The specific schedule is as follows:

  - February 1, 2021 at 12:00: Account registration and message sending and receiving will be stopped;

  - February 19, 2021 at 12:00: MiTalk login will be stopped and the server will be shut down. You will not be able to log in to and use MiTalk from then on.

  Before the service is stopped, please export chat records and personal information by yourself (Android v8.8.70 and above support batch export). After the service is stopped, any information of users in MiTalk will not be exported. In addition, we will save the relevant information legally collected when providing services to you in accordance with national laws and regulations and the MiTalk Privacy Policy. After the retention period, we will delete or anonymize your personal information.

  Finally, we would like to thank every MiTalk user for their support and companionship in the past. We are deeply sorry for the inconvenience caused by the MiTalk suspension. In the future, the MiTalk team will also work hard to bring you more new services.
