Jiwei.com reported on January 13 that last night Samsung officially released its new flagship chip Exynos 2100 at CES. It uses a 5nm process technology. Compared with 7nm, power consumption is reduced by 20%, overall performance is improved by 10%, and AI computing power consumption is reduced by half.

The processor uses ARM's latest high-performance Cortex-X1 core, with a maximum operating frequency of 2.9 GHz. It also has three A78 cores and four efficient A55 cores. Samsung said that compared with Exynos 990, Exynos 2100 has a 19% increase in single-core performance, a 33% increase in multi-core performance, and a 46% increase in GPU performance.

In terms of GPU, Exynos 2100 inherits the Mali-G78 MP14, 14 cores, and is said to have a 40% performance improvement over the previous version. However, this GPU core stack is not exaggerated, after all, Kirin 9000 directly integrates the 24-core G78.
Samsung said that the GPU of Exynos 2100 also supports AMIGO multi-IP control technology, which can jointly optimize the power consumption of the CPU, GPU and other parts, and extend battery life under high load.

In terms of NPU, the Exynos 2100 also uses 3 AI cores, with a performance of up to 26TOPS, which means 260,000 operations, which is the same as the Snapdragon 888.
In terms of ISP, Exynos 2100 also set a record this time, supporting up to 200 million pixels on a single channel, supporting 6 image sensors, and processing 4 at the same time to enhance the multi-camera experience.
In terms of 5G, Exynos 2100 is Samsung's first fully integrated 5G chip, supporting 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G Sub-6G, and 5G mmWave. The former can reach speeds of up to 5.1Gbps, and with millimeter wave speeds of up to 7.35Gbps. The 4G network can also achieve 3Gbps performance.

Currently, Samsung's Exynos 2100 chip has entered mass production. The Samsung Galaxy S21 series will be the first mobile phones equipped with this chipset.
In addition to the release of the Exynos 2100 processor, the official also announced a big news. Samsung said that it is working with AMD, and the next flagship processor will be equipped with the "next-generation mobile GPU." Inyup Kang, president of Samsung's LSI business, confirmed that the next-generation mobile GPU in cooperation with AMD will be used in the next flagship product, but did not specify which product it was.
