Sanan Integrated Circuit's revenue in the first half of the year increased by 680% as it shipped GaAs RF to nearly 100 customers

 On August 18, Sanan Optoelectronics released its semi-annual report stating that the company's operating income in the first half of the year was 3.568 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5.31%; the net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company was 635 million yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 28.11%.

After more than a decade of intensive development, Sanan Optoelectronics has expanded its product range to include automotive lighting, Mini LED, Micro LED, high light efficiency, ultraviolet, infrared, plant lighting, and other applications. Its marketing network is spread all over the world, and it has established partnerships with major downstream manufacturers at home and abroad, such as Samsung, Cree, Gree Electric, Midea Group, and TCL. In terms of high-end LED products, Sanan Optoelectronics' Mini LED and Micro LED chips have been supplied to Samsung in batches, becoming its primary supplier and signing a supply agreement; it has established a joint laboratory with TCL Huaxing to promote the marketization of Micro LED.

In the first half of this year, affected by the epidemic, consumers' awareness of disinfection and sterilization has greatly increased, the demand for ultraviolet UV LED has exploded, and the production capacity is obviously insufficient. In order to meet the market demand for high-end products, Sanan Optoelectronics has accelerated the pace of its wholly-owned subsidiary Quanzhou Sanan Semiconductor and is gradually releasing production capacity; the infrastructure construction of Hubei Sanan Mini/Micro display industrialization project is progressing smoothly.

In addition, Sanan Integrated Circuit, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sanan Optoelectronics, achieved a significant increase in sales and shipments, achieving sales revenue of 375 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 680.48%. The number of GaAs RF shipment customers has reached nearly 100, and the production capacity of important GaN RF product customers is gradually increasing; the number of power electronics product customers has exceeded 60, and 27 products have entered the mass production stage; in addition to expanding the market leading share of existing medium and low-speed PD/MPD products, the optical communication business has also entered the mass trial production stage with the verification of high-end products 10G APD/25G PD, VCSEL and DFB transmitter products at important industry customers; the filter product development performance is excellent, and the production line is continuously expanding and stocking is in progress.

Sanan Optoelectronics disclosed that the industry recognition and production capacity of Sanan Integrated Products have significantly increased. With the broad market space and demand for domestic substitution, the company has established a subsidiary, Hunan Sanan, in Changsha to engage in the research and development and industrialization projects of third-generation compound semiconductors such as silicon carbide. The project is currently under construction.
