In February of this year, Sony officially released the Xperia 1 II, which was equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor, a better camera and an optimized camera application. It is very attractive to users in terms of appearance, configuration and functionality. Recently, Sony also pushed a system update for this phone, which mainly brought new camera functions.

After installing the update with version number 58.0.A.3.88, Xperia 1 II also officially supports RAW format photo shooting. Users can see the relevant options in the settings of Photo Pro, and can choose RAW and RAW+JPG storage formats. However, when the phone is set to shoot in RAW format, continuous shooting and automatic HDR mode will be disabled, which is largely due to the inability of the processor and flash memory to keep up.

For users who love mobile phone photography, the changes brought about by this update are huge, because RAW can provide users with professional post-editing freedom. However, Chinese users, especially female users, prefer beauty functions such as Meitu XiuXiu.

In terms of hardware configuration, the Sony Xperia 1 II has three rear lenses, namely 12MP (main camera, 24mm, 1/1.7-inch Exmor sensor, f/1.7, Dual PD, optical image stabilization) + 12MP (ultra-wide angle, 16mm, 1/2.6-inch, f/2.2, Dual PD) + 12MP (telephoto, 70mm, 1/3.4-inch, f/2.4, PDAF). There is also a 3D iToF lens between the wide-angle and telephoto lenses to help increase the focusing speed.
