Recently, Xiaomi Vice President Zhang Feng posted on Weibo praising the Xiaomi TV Master series. He believes that the MEMC of this product is at the highest level in the industry.
MEMC stands for motion estimation and motion compensation. The principle is to insert new motion compensation frames into the original picture sequence to make the motion picture look clearer and smoother. Why is this technology needed? Because low frame rate pictures will have obvious stuttering and lag when showing some high-speed motion scenes. After turning on the MEMC function, it can significantly reduce the phenomenon of ghosting and jitter, making the viewing experience more comfortable.
At present, almost all major manufacturers have launched TVs equipped with MEMC, but when it comes to the experience level, the final feeling will also present different perceptions due to differences in performance and algorithms. This is mainly reflected in the refresh rate/chip performance/picture quality algorithm supported by MEMC.
Zhang Feng said that the MEMC of Xiaomi TV Master 65" OLED is currently at the highest level in the industry.
1. Support 120Hz MEMC
Compared with the more conventional 60 Hz MEMC of other products, 120Hz MEMC can greatly improve the clarity of dynamic images and effectively reduce ghosting. This advantage is a hard indicator and the difference can be immediately judged by comparison.
2. High-end chip support
Xiaomi TV Master 65" OLED uses the MT9650 high-end chip, quad-core A73 CPU architecture + Mali G52 MC1 GPU architecture + 1T computing power APU. It is one of the most powerful TV chips on the market and has strong enough computing power to fully improve dynamic clarity.
3. Intelligent algorithm optimization
In terms of algorithms, Xiaomi TV Master 65" OLED has been comprehensively upgraded:
Protection of small objects, such as a running football, so that it does not deform significantly during movement;
Smear elimination: special processing of the edge of the object to distinguish the background from the subject and avoid mixing the background and the subject;
Complex scene protection: intelligent analysis of complex scenes to prevent erroneous information from being mixed into the picture;
Fast-moving object detection, with special care for fast-moving objects to avoid "artifacts".
Zhang Feng said, "If you have been troubled by jittery/smearing/stuttering TV images for a long time, I recommend you go to Xiaomi Home to experience the smooth picture quality brought by the 120Hz MEMC of Xiaomi TV Master 65" OLED. This is a feeling you will never want to lose after watching it!"
