Just before Foxconn founder Terry Gou visited the United States, Foxconn invested another $35 million in Wisconsin, investing in four new projects including fire protection, office mechanical and electrical, and information security. Foxconn has invested a total of $350 million in projects in Wisconsin to date.
Foxconn also announced recently that the largest factory building in the main building of Wisconn Valley Science & Technology Park has completed the roof construction before the local winter.
Foxconn Chairman Liu Yangwei also reiterated at the earnings conference that Wisconsin will continue to promote it, and it is definitely not shrinking as rumored. Liu Yangwei said that Foxconn's global layout plan, project and production capacity planning depend on how customers allocate. At present, it seems that Southeast Asia, Vietnam, Mexico and other countries are very hot and Foxconn will not be absent.
Liu Yangwei said that the competitive environment and the industrial environment are changing, and the adjustment of investment projects is a very natural phenomenon. After all, Foxconn is not a government agency or a research institute, and it is impossible for it to remain unchanged for 10 years. Moreover, many unexpected things will happen, so the group will adjust according to the situation.
As for how Guo Taiming will set the tone for his investment in Wisconsin after his visit to the United States, Guo Taiming's itinerary in the United States in the next two weeks, including Foxconn's every move in Wisconsin, will also be the focus of outside attention.
