The Sino-US trade war has affected the computer manufacturing industry. According to Nikkei Asian Review, many global PC manufacturers are considering moving their production bases from China to other countries.

The report pointed out that HP and Dell are considering moving 30% of their notebook computer production outside of China. Not only that, Lenovo, Acer and Asus are also considering moving their production bases.

According to ZDNet Korea, market research firms IDC and Gartner reported that the above companies produced about 48 million computers in the first quarter of this year, accounting for more than 70% of the total computer production. Dell has already started trial production of notebook computers in Taiwan, Vietnam and the Philippines. Acer and Asus recently announced that some of their products will be manufactured outside of China.

As the Sino-US trade dispute extends, system manufacturers such as Foxconn and Inventec have moved their manufacturing bases to Taiwan, Mexico, the Czech Republic and other places to avoid tariffs. Nikkei Asian Review analyzed that many companies are planning to move the manufacturing bases of products sold to the United States. Under pressure from the United States, companies such as servers, network equipment, and electronic parts are beginning to show signs of leaving China.
