According to foreign media reports, since South Korea's three major operators launched 5G commercial networks on April 3, 2019, taking the lead in 5G commercial use, many countries have opened commercial networks and joined the ranks of 5G commercial use.
As 5G has been commercially available for less than two years, many countries have not yet launched 5G commercial services. However, many countries are currently preparing to build 5G commercial networks in order to launch 5G commercial services.
Preparing to build a 5G commercial network means that telecommunications network equipment suppliers will obtain a large number of 5G commercial contracts.
Ericsson, one of the few telecommunications network equipment suppliers in the world, has obtained a large number of 5G commercial contracts. In the financial report released last Friday local time, Ericsson disclosed that they have obtained a total of 127 5G commercial contracts worldwide, and 79 5G commercial networks have been put into operation.
In the third quarter financial report released on October 21, Ericsson disclosed that they had obtained 112 5G commercial contracts and put into operation 65 5G commercial networks. On January 29, there were 127 and 79 contracts, an increase of 15 and 14 contracts compared with October 21.
As more countries prepare to build 5G commercial networks, telecom network equipment suppliers such as Ericsson will obtain more 5G commercial contracts and open more 5G commercial networks.
