Recently, scientists at the Fraunhofer Institute in Aachen developed a new OLED production method for Philips, which is said to effectively reduce the waste of raw materials.
Before this technology, the production method of OLED was to apply materials related to liquid crystal molecules on a glass substrate. After the panel was formed, the excess material was removed. However, this technology has its drawbacks, that is, it wastes a lot of raw materials.

The new technology uses a thin film covering method to cover the glass substrate. Through processing, useful substances are left on the glass plate, leaving only very small waste, thereby reducing the waste of raw materials.
