In mid-October, Intel released its third-quarter financial report, which stated that the company's total revenue in the third quarter was $11.1 billion, an increase of 18% year-on-year. The total profit was $4.1 billion, the net profit was $3 billion, and the average earnings per share was 52 cents.

According to the report, Intel's performance in the third quarter of this year was better than last year on a quarter-on-quarter basis. In the second quarter of this year, the company achieved a total net profit of 2.9 billion, setting a 42-year record.

Intel executives said consumer demand continued to be weak in the United States and Europe, while corporate spending continued to grow, as did demand in emerging markets. Corporate spending on technology helped Intel's third-quarter revenue increase to $11.1 billion, up $300 million from $10.8 billion in the previous quarter. This was the first time they broke through the $11 billion mark. Intel expects this trend to continue, with revenue reaching $11.4 billion.

It is reported that Intel's processor business in the traditional PC and server fields has always performed well, and its active exploration in new fields such as embedded systems and mobile devices has also won more recognition from customers and the industry. In addition, Intel is accelerating the pace of product updates. According to Intel CEO Paul Otellini, Intel will launch a new generation of CPU code-named "Sandy Bridge" in the fourth quarter, which will integrate 32-nanometer graphics chips into PC processors for the first time, bringing an amazing visual experience.
