The Micochip automotive cooling fan solution is designed to drive a three-phase permanent magnet synchronous or brushless DC automotive cooling fan motor that can be networked via LIN. The design is based on Microchip's motor control system in package (SiP) dsPIC33CDVL64MC106. The SiP includes a dsPIC33CK64MC105 DSC, MCP8021 three-phase MOSFET gate driver with LDO, and ATA663211 LIN transceiver.
