This article takes KingView and Siemens touch screen and two Siemens S7-200SMART as examples to introduce the implementation process of wireless communication between KingView, touch screen and multiple PLCs in a self-organizing network under the Profinet protocol. In this solution, Siemens PLC wireless communication terminal - DTD418M is used as the hardware device to realize wireless communication. We do not need to change the network parameters and the original program, nor do we need to understand the details of the protocol. Through the European and American PLC dedicated wireless communication terminal - DTD418M, we can directly replace the wired Ethernet communication between KingView and PLC, and stably and conveniently realize PLC wireless Ethernet communication.
Wireless network diagram▼
Test equipment and parameters:
● Siemens PLC model: S7-200Smart × 2 units
● Host computer: Kingview 6.55 × 1 unit
● Siemens touch screen: SMART 700 IE V3 × 1 unit
● Wireless communication terminal: DTD418MB × 4 pieces
● Master-slave relationship: 2 masters and 2 slaves
● Communication interface: RJ45 interface
● Power supply: 12-24VDC
● Communication protocol: Profinet protocol
Wiring method:
1. Connection between host computer and DTD418M:
Use a communication cable, connect one end to the RJ45 interface of DTD418M, and the other end to the RJ45 interface of the host computer.
2. Wiring between touch screen and DTD418M:
Use a communication cable, connect one end to the RJ45 interface of DTD418M, and the other end to the RJ45 interface of Siemens touch screen.
3. PLC and DTD418M wiring:
Use a communication cable, connect one end to the RJ45 interface of DTD418M and the other end to the RJ45 interface of S7-200SMART.
Configure the KingView TCP driver file:
Search for the kvS7200.ini file, open it with Notepad and make some changes
Kingview configuration:
1. Create a project, enter a name, and click "Yes"
2. Click the device and select S7-200TCP driver
3. Enter the logical name
4. Select any serial port or default
5. Set the 200SMART PLC IP address
6. Default Parameters
Set the KingView screen:
1. Data dictionary - define variables
2. Screen - Create a new screen
3. Associate variables
Touch screen configuration:
1. Selection of configuration screen
Click "Project" in the menu bar - select "New" - select the touch screen model "Smart 700 IE V3" - device version "3.0.2.0". The version selected here must be consistent with the touch screen version, otherwise the download program will fail. Then click OK.
2.Configure touch screen and connect 2 PLCs
3. Variable settings
Set the M0.0-M0.3 of the two PLCs as the variables of the "button" of the touch screen, and set the Q0.0-Q0.3 of the two PLCs as the "indicator light" variables of the touch screen.
4. Create a text list
5. New screen settings
6. Download the program
Download of PLC program:
1. PLC setting No. ①
PLC sets IP address: 192.168.2.10. The program configuration is that when M0.0-M0.3 is in action, it will correspond to Q0.0-Q0.3 output this state.
2. PLC No. ② settings
PLC IP address setting: 192.168.2.11 Program configuration description: When M0.0-M0.3 is in action, it will correspond to Q0.0-Q0.3 output this state.
Test method:
1. Use the M point button of the KingView/touch screen to control the Q point corresponding to the PLC, and monitor the Q point output on the KingView/touch screen at the same time.
2. Input a signal to point I of the PLC and see whether the KingView/touch screen can detect the signal of the corresponding point.
