[Discussion] I'm looking at a product recently, a 400x400 camera for car use [Copy link]

I don't know where the 400x400 camera with a 70mm object distance is used in cars. There are quite a few of them shipped now.

Which forum expert knows?

Can I ask the seller directly?

At first I thought it was to prevent collisions, but later I asked a netizen who was familiar with this field, and he said that since the object distance was so short, it should not be a collision.

In automotive applications, cameras are rarely used for collision avoidance at short distances.

However, it may be used in low-speed small smart cars, the kind that delivers food in hotels, the kind that patrols in nursing homes, and static applications, used in industrial production lines.

The resolution is a bit low, could it be driver monitoring?

I think it's very likely, eye tracking, to see if the driver is tired?  Details Published on 2022-7-28 08:11

What can you see at a distance of 70mm? At most, it can be used for multiple tests!

Is it possible that it is used by the DMS system to monitor the driver's status and perform some face recognition and facial status recognition, etc.
