May 12, 2022, Shanghai - Shanghai Fudan Microelectronics Group Co., Ltd. Recently launched the low-power and ultra-wide voltage FM24LNXXX series I2C serial EEPROM memory, which can meet the application needs of CCM, white goods, electric meter instruments, 5G communications, automotive and other related application fields.
The first batch of the series includes two models , FM24LN64 (64Kbit) and FM24LN128 (128Kbit) . The products support an ultra-wide operating voltage range of 1.1V~5.5V, a temperature range of -40℃~+85℃, and support an operating frequency of 400KHz/1MHz in the full voltage range. The typical standby current at 5.5V is less than 1uA, and the read and write current does not exceed 0.8mA. The products meet the high reliability requirements of 4 million erase and write times and 100 years of data storage. In addition, the FM24LNXXX series products will cover 64Kbit~2Mbit capacities, of which the maximum operating frequency of the new 256Kbit~2Mbit capacity products will be expanded to the High speed mode of 3.4MHz, which can meet customers' needs for faster read and write access speeds.
• Ultra-wide operating voltage range: Currently, the mainstream EERPOM operating voltage range at home and abroad is 1.7V~5.5V. Fudan Micro's FM24LNXXX series has an ultra-wide operating voltage range (1.1V~5.5V), low power design, supports mainstream applications such as 1.2V/1.8V/3.3V/5.5V, and is compatible with 400KHz/1MHz clock in the full voltage range.
• Specially optimized for CCM applications: FM24LNXXX series directly supports 1.2V/1.8V IO voltage applications, meeting the needs of new CCM applications and facilitating user stocking and inventory management. IO and VCC voltages are consistent, and the EEPROM power supply can reuse a digital power supply (such as VDD12) on the CCM module, reducing the power routing overhead on the PCB board.
• High reliability index characteristics: The product development team optimized the EEPROM memory read and write circuits based on the characteristics of the wafer process platform and a deep understanding of the working principles of memory products, achieving the high reliability index characteristics of the FM24LNXXX series with a lifespan of 4 million erase and write cycles and a data retention time of 100 years.
• Other product features : The FM24LNXXX series supports byte write, page write, current address read, free read, sequential read and other operation modes; it has the function of configurable device address and supports up to 8 EEPROMs on the I2C bus; the input pin is filtered by Schmitt trigger to suppress noise; it has internal timing function for erase and write time (max 5ms) and software protection function (SWP).
In terms of packaging, the FM24LNXXX series supports SOP8/TDFN/TSSOP/WLCSP and other packages. The WLCSP package supports two specifications: 400um*400um and 400um*500um Ball Pitch. In terms of control and traceability, the FM24LNXXX series has an additional page of readable and writable Security Sector, as well as a 128-bit unique identification code written by the manufacturer and read-only, which facilitates product traceability.
FM24LNXXX series memory The key indicators of AC, DC and reliability will be completely in line with the industry benchmark, and some indicators are leading the industry. It is expected that the products will promote the rapid increase of Fudan Microelectronics EEPROM market share in automotive electronics, high-end industrial specifications and mobile phone camera modules.
In addition, the FM25NXXX (SPI interface) series EEPROM memory is also under development, with an operating voltage range of 1.7V~5.5V, a capacity range of 64Kbit~4Mbit, a temperature range of -40℃~+125℃, a maximum operating frequency of 20MHz, a lifespan of 4 million erases and writes, and a data retention time of 100 years. Fudan Microelectronics will also launch a full range of automotive-grade EEPROMs that meet AEC-Q100 Grade1 requirements.
After 22 years of iterative polishing, Fudan Microelectronics' FM24CXXX, FM25XXX, FM93CXX and other wide-voltage serial EEPROM products have formed a mature product line covering 1Kbit~1Mbit capacity and I2C/SPI/Microwire interfaces, and have passed industrial and automotive grade assessments. Fudan Microelectronics' EEPROM production control capabilities and mass production supply capabilities for wafer production, packaging and testing rank among the top in the market share of electric meters, home appliances, industrial control and other segments.
