China Illuminating Engineering Society visits Leyard Group for research

Recently, the China Illuminating Engineering Society visited Leyard Group for research. Li Jun, Chairman of Leyard Group, warmly received them. Yuan Bo, Executive President of Leyard Group, accompanied them to visit the Group's exhibition center and gave a detailed introduction to the company's development history. Liu Yaodong, Group CMO, also accompanied them to receive them.

As a leading enterprise in the lighting industry, Leyard Group is a senior group member of the China Illuminating Engineering Society and an important unit of the Lighting Engineering Technology Professional Committee of the China Illuminating Engineering Society. The in-depth cooperation between the two parties will help promote the development of the lighting industry and drive the aggregation and extension of the entire industrial chain.

Chairman Li Jun said that with the advent of the post-lighting era, "smart cities", "characteristic towns", "cultural and creative lighting", "intelligent lighting", "micro-brightening" and "indoor lighting" have received more and more attention, and the industry development has ushered in more opportunities. With its profound technical accumulation and practical experience, Leyard Group is willing to work together with the China Illuminating Engineering Society to build a win-win platform, accelerate the process of industry production automation, and empower enterprises inside and outside the lighting industry.

CATL creates a comprehensive solution for combined battery swapping

Recently, Times Electric Service held its first online press conference to launch the battery swap service brand EVOGO and the combined battery swap overall solution. Times Electric Service is a wholly-owned subsidiary of CATL, dedicated to providing users with convenient and reliable mobile power solutions and services. The combined battery swap overall solution consists of three major products: "battery swap blocks, quick swap stations, and APP". At the same time, Chen Weifeng, general manager of Times Electric Service, said that the EVOGO battery swap service will be launched in the first batch in 10 cities.

In response to consumers' pain points, Times Electric Service has innovatively launched a combined battery swap solution and service consisting of three major products: "battery swap blocks, quick swap stations, and APP". Under the vehicle-battery separation model, the battery is separated as a shared asset, bringing a new experience to the market.

The "Chocolate Battery Swap Block" is a battery developed and mass-produced specifically for shared battery swapping. It has three major features: small and high energy, free combination, and minimalist design. Using CATL's latest CTP technology, the "Chocolate Battery Swap Block" has a weight energy density of more than 160Wh/kg and a volume energy density of more than 325Wh/L. A single battery can provide a range of about 200 kilometers and can be adapted to 80% of the models developed on the pure electric platform that are already on the market and will be on the market in the next three years. Consumers can choose one or more batteries at will when swapping batteries, flexibly matching the needs of different mileages. In addition, the "Chocolate Battery Swap Block" uses wireless BMS technology, with only high-voltage positive and negative interfaces on the outside, which greatly improves the reliability of plug-in components.

Molex Data Center on Wheels Automotive Survey Results

Molex, a global electronics leader and connectivity innovator, today announced the results of a global survey that examined the pace of innovation accelerating the development of next-generation automotive architectures and driving experiences. While participants expressed optimism about increased adoption of digital technologies, they also identified critical technology, industry and ecosystem challenges that must be overcome to meet the demand for vehicles equipped with software, storage, connectivity and computing power – essentially a powerful “data center on wheels.”

“The pace of change across the automotive industry is fast and furious as digital technologies deliver new and enhanced capabilities to drive the success of next-generation vehicles,” said Mike Bloomgren, president and senior vice president, Transportation & Industrial Solutions, Molex. “Our latest survey shows strong momentum across the ecosystem amid the need for increased collaboration to reduce design complexity and meet consumer expectations.”

Molex and Mouser commissioned Dimensional Research to conduct the Data Center on Wheels Automotive Survey in February 2022, surveying 519 qualified participants in engineering, R&D, manufacturing, innovation or strategy roles at automotive companies and their suppliers, including Tier 1 or 2 automotive component suppliers and contract manufacturers. Participants from 30 countries were asked questions to determine which digital technologies are having the greatest impact on this sector, as well as the toughest barriers to the deployment of advanced vehicle architectures and seamless driving experiences.
