Installation environment and steps of inverter

The installation steps of the inverter are roughly similar, but some manufacturers have some special requirements for the installation steps and external environment. The following introduces the general installation steps of the inverter. First, the insulation test of the main circuit of the inverter should be carried out before installation, and then the insulation test of the control circuit should be carried out before installation.

Next, we need to make some requirements and arrangements for the installation environment of the inverter. The details are as follows:

(1) Ambient temperature

Generally, it is suitable for working in an environment of -10℃-40℃ and humidity below 90%. If the ambient temperature is higher than 40℃, the inverter should be derated by 5% for every 1℃ increase.

(2) General requirements for installation site

1) No corrosion, no flammable or explosive gases or liquids

2) No dust, floating fibers and metal particles.

3) The foundation and walls of the installation site should be solid, without damage or vibration.

(3) Installation space and ventilation of the inverter

The inverter is equipped with a cooling fan for forced air cooling. In order to achieve a good cooling cycle effect, the inverter must be installed vertically. When multiple inverters are installed in the same device or control box, it is recommended to install them horizontally in parallel to reduce mutual heat effects.

(4) Removal of the inverter cover

During installation, the inverter needs to be tested, inspected, wired, etc., which requires the removal of its cover. Pay attention to the characteristics of different inverters and install them according to their characteristics.

(5) Wiring of inverter

1) Is the wiring wrong?

2) Check whether wire scraps, especially metal scraps, short ends, screws and nuts of wires have fallen into the inverter.

3) Check whether the screw is tightened and the wire is loose

4) Check whether the exposed part of the terminal wiring touches the live part of other terminals or touches the inverter casing.

(6) Precautions for control circuit wiring

1) The wiring of the control circuit and the main circuit, as well as other power lines and electric power lines should be separated and kept at a certain distance.

2) The relay contact terminal leads in the inverter control circuit and the connections to other control circuit terminals should be routed separately to avoid interference signals when the contacts are closed or opened.

3) In order to prevent interference caused by noise and other signals from causing the inverter to malfunction, shielded wires are used in the control circuit.
