The trend of combining smart cars with electric cars is booming, bringing unprecedented technological breakthroughs and new business opportunities to the automotive market. Mobileye, a subsidiary of Intel, announced that it will cooperate with electric car manufacturer ZEEKR to expand the driver assistance system (ADAS) business, intending to jointly launch advanced safety technologies for the smart car market.

Amnon Shashua, Intel senior vice president and Mobileye co-founder/CEO, said that through close cooperation with ZEEKR, we can expect the upcoming next-generation ADAS products to become the most advanced all-round systems on the market.
Mobileye and ZEEKR have signed a long-term agreement to collaborate on the development of ADAS systems for various ZEEKR models, and expect to launch ZEEKR cars equipped with Mobileye SuperVision in the fourth quarter of 2021. The system is a full-stack ADAS solution that uses two EyeQ5 SoC devices to process data collected by 11 cameras. The two companies also plan to further develop a next-generation system driven by six EyeQ5 SoCs to provide users with a complete ADAS experience, and expect to release a new system in 2023.
