STMicroelectronics' new STM8 and STM32 mobile app optimizes microcontroller selection

China, August 11, 2021 - To help developers quickly and easily find the right microcontroller for their project, STMicroelectronics has launched an advanced mobile application in major app stores and on the company's official website st.com.

STM8 Finder and STM32 Finder replace the previous ST MCU Finder mobile application, using the latest application software design technology to provide users with a robust and convenient user experience. New features include powerful search filters that allow users to describe the required peripherals in more detail. The adaptive graphical interface can automatically optimize the display effect according to the touch screen and screen orientation of the smartphone or tablet, and the content cache supports offline search. In addition, the new incremental database management function can minimize data usage and waiting time when data is updated.


The two applications can view the entire STM8 8-bit microcontroller, STM32 32-bit Arm® Cortex®-M microcontroller and STM32MP15 Cortex-A7 microprocessor product line as well as evaluation boards, Discovery kits and Nucleo development boards. After finding the required product, users can search for related supporting materials such as documentation, project files and software.


The software also makes it easy for users to purchase chips and development boards, and to participate in development communities on social platforms such as Facebook™ and Twitter™, as well as the STM32 YouTube™ channel and ST Community.


STM8 Finder and STM32 Finder are available for free download from the Apple and Google Play stores and on st.com.
