Strategy Analytics released a report stating that in 2020, total revenue from tablets and laptops increased by 25% year-on-year, and will increase by another 17% in 2021.
The report states that household ownership of mobile computing devices will continue to grow during the forecast period, reaching 39% of the total number of households worldwide, and the Windows 11/post-COVID-19 update cycle will drive market revenue from $197 billion in 2020 to $241 billion in 2025.
The reporter learned that Strategy Analytics industry analysts pointed out: "Working from home (WFH), virtual learning options and hybrid working models will be more appropriate than before, which will drive mobile computing device shipments to 458 million units in 2026."
