For the new year of 2021, now is the time to set a goal for yourself, such as fitness and body shaping. So why not join the community and use fun and interesting VR to start this year's health journey.
Due to epidemic prevention and economic reasons, exercising at home may be a suitable choice. In addition, you can combine novel and interesting game content with monotonous exercise plans to achieve "fitness" and fun.
Oculus says it will help you with Quest2. Every Monday in January 2021, the team will release new workout guides based on different themes. They also said that when you successfully complete the game, "we may even provide one or two rewards." Of course, the important thing is to complete the goals you set and achieve a fit body, as well as to instill this spirit of self-discipline and persistence in yourself.
You can use Oculus Move to track your workouts in VR apps, as it automatically records your calories burned and active minutes. Oculus also sets weekly goals to motivate you to complete your plans.
The theme of the first week is Full-Body Focus, with a moderate intensity and a goal of 25 minutes.
SynthRiders for Quest and Rift allows you to move your whole body. For more intense sessions, you can choose the "NoFail" mode.
FitVR, newly launched on the Quest platform, aims to become your fitness club, helping you burn calories in an efficient way.
Supernatural for Quest lets you play your favorite music while following professional workouts provided by fitness trainers. If you want to give it a try, Supernatural offers a one-month free trial.
Oculus Move
Oculus Move helps track the calories you burn and the amount of time you spend physically active in VR games or apps. You can set goals for yourself and track your progress.
You can find Oculus Move in your library. If you've never tried it before, Oculus Move will help you get started with a short tutorial. You can also choose to add personal information such as age, weight, height, and gender to help the system better predict the calories burned. The more information you provide, the more accurate the numbers will be. If you choose to skip any of the variables mentioned, the system will use the average.
Oculus is still testing real-time stats for in-game overlays. If you have access to the overlays and turn on the "in-game" overlay, you can adjust the position of the overlay without leaving your current position. To do this in the headset, select OculusSetTIngs>Experimental>Features>OculusMoveOverlay. We recommend placing the stats panel in the "bottom" position.
To track your fitness progress, open Oculus Move from your library and select View Calendar. You can also open Oculus Move from your library and navigate to History > All Stats > Monthly Stats.
