The theme of this year's Great Place to Work® Greater China Annual Summit is "Equality in the Workplace, Better Opportunities for All". More than 200,000 employees from more than 150 companies in mainland China, Hong Kong, China, and Taiwan participated in the award survey, and 44 companies were finally selected to receive this honor. Micron keeps moving forward
A diverse gathering place
Micron has invested a lot of resources to support women's education and leadership development throughout the year, and has encouraged women to work in the technology field by launching activities such as the Girl's Going Tech training camp. At Micron China, the proportion of female employees has reached 40%. In addition, Micron also attaches great importance to providing sufficient development space for young people. At Micron China, the proportion of millennials (young people born between 1981 and 1994) employees accounts for 88%. In fiscal 2019, 47% of Micron China employees participated in volunteer activities, contributing a total of 15,031 hours of volunteer service. During these more than 10,000 hours of work, Micron volunteers helped more than 1,500 children, planted 400 trees, and cleaned up more than 710 kilograms of beach garbage, giving back to the local community with humanistic care and environmental protection actions.
