FAW and Black Sesame Intelligent Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Black Sesame Intelligent Technology") held a strategic cooperation signing ceremony at FAW's Administrative Affairs Center. According to the agreement, the two parties will carry out all-round cooperation in the fields of autonomous driving chips, visual perception algorithms and data, and jointly promote the application of autonomous driving technology in FAW's mass-produced models.
It is reported that Black Sesame Intelligent Technology was founded in Silicon Valley, the United States in 2016. It is a high-tech enterprise that focuses on independent research and development of autonomous driving artificial intelligence chips and core technologies and application development of visual perception algorithms. It has established its China headquarters in Shanghai and is the first manufacturer in China to mass-produce automotive-grade autonomous driving chips and algorithms. Black Sesame Intelligent Technology uses image processing technology and deep learning neural network visual perception algorithms to form an overall solution from autonomous driving chips, light control, sensors to the application end, creating an embedded artificial intelligence computing platform in the autonomous driving scenario.
The two parties will cooperate in the application of Huashan series artificial intelligence chips and visual perception algorithms, adhere to independent innovation, improve and develop key core technologies with independent intellectual property rights, seize the development opportunities of artificial intelligence, and accelerate the development of independent chip technology and its application in the automotive industry. In the future, the two parties will also jointly build an artificial intelligence image data collection vehicle to achieve image data collection covering various weather environments and various scenes, establish an artificial intelligence image data set, and create China's self-driving car products.
The strategic cooperation between China FAW and Black Sesame Intelligent Technology will accelerate the improvement of China FAW's autonomous driving technology and the mass production of Black Sesame Intelligent Technology's products, promote the development of my country's independent autonomous driving technology, jointly promote the application of artificial intelligence technology in the automotive industry, and drive the development of the upstream and downstream industrial chains of automotive artificial intelligence.
