It is still too difficult to make electric cars. Jia Yueting announced bankruptcy, NIO had difficulty in giving birth, Dyson simply ran away, and so on. Many such things have happened in the electric car industry recently, but Tesla, the "pioneer" of electric cars, has benefited from it.

Tesla's stock price rebounded, reaching a 12-week high. It is estimated that the major home appliance manufacturer Dyson gave up on developing electric vehicles, and the Chinese electric vehicle manufacturers Faraday and Nio were in poor condition, which allowed Tesla to turn around.

On the 17th, Tesla rose 0.85% to close at $261.97, hitting a record high since July 24 and rising for the 9th consecutive day. Tesla's stock price broke through the 200-day line representing the long-term trend on the 14th.

However, Tesla's stock price has still plummeted 21.28% so far this year.

Barron's and MarketWatch reported that on October 3, Tesla announced that it delivered 97,000 vehicles in the third quarter, setting a record for a single quarter, and that the accumulated orders for the fourth quarter also increased. Despite this, this result was still lower than the 99,000 vehicles estimated by FactSet, and Tesla's stock price plummeted 4% that day.

However, Tesla subsequently got rid of the low tide and closed higher every day since the 7th of the 10th. It is generally believed that one of the reasons is that Dyson abandoned the electric car plan on the 10th. Dyson said that although the team developed an extraordinary car model and tried their best in the research and development process, it still could not make the new car commercially viable. RBC analyst Joseph Spak pointed out in the report that this shows that replacing the internal combustion engine of a car (turning it into an electric car using batteries) is not simple.

Faraday said on the 13th that the company's founder Jia Yueting declared bankruptcy, but it would not affect the normal operation of Faraday. Another Chinese manufacturer, NIO, announced earlier this month that it delivered 4,799 vehicles in the third quarter, which once drove its stock price up, but the gains were subsequently reversed, with a 76% plunge so far this year; compared with its historical high, it has fallen by nearly 90%.

The poor performance of other companies shows that electric vehicle manufacturing is not easy, so investors decided to give Tesla some breathing space. Tesla is scheduled to release its third-quarter earnings report after the US stock market closes on the 23rd of this month, which is expected to determine whether the rally can continue. Foreign investors have mixed opinions on Tesla, and the target prices they set are also very different, ranging from US$140 to US$350, making the company's stock price extremely volatile.
