He said that in the past people were turned into machines, and in the future machines will become people, but ultimately people should be more like people, and machines should be more like machines.

"I firmly believe that the intelligent era should make humans pay more attention to themselves, pay more attention to their inner selves, and understand humanity better. In the intelligent era, we must not spend our energy on technology and equipment, but on human progress and human feelings. The intelligent era should not and cannot make people unemployed, but let them do more valuable things." On August 26, Jack Ma, who appeared as co-chair of the United Nations High-level Panel on Digital Cooperation, said at the Big Data Intelligence Summit after the opening ceremony of the China Smart Expo. His speech lasted from 12:05 to 12:15 noon, and the 10-minute speech became the finale of the summit.

Jack Ma believes that AI should be translated into machine intelligence. Translating it into artificial intelligence means that humans overestimate themselves. The intelligent world has three elements: the Internet, big data and cloud computing. The Internet is a production relationship, cloud computing is a productivity, and big data is the means of production. The future belongs to the Internet, big data, and big computing, which are production relations, productivity, and means of production. Intelligence is a tool to change the world, and wisdom is the idea of changing intelligence. It is not intelligence that leads the future, but the wisdom of humans behind intelligence. Animals pay attention to instinct, machines pay attention to intelligence, and humans must stick to their own wisdom.

He said that in the past, people were turned into machines, and in the future, machines will become people, but in the end, people should be more like people, and machines should be more like machines. Machines should have their own unique thinking, and humans must respect and revere the intelligence of machines. Many things are difficult for humans, but very easy for machines, and many things are difficult for machines, but very easy for humans.

He gave an example, people are constantly studying how to make machines as flexible as hands, but in fact humans will always be more flexible than machines. Steam engines have never imitated human arms, cars have never imitated human legs, and computers absolutely cannot imitate the thinking of the human brain. Therefore, the intelligent era should not and cannot make people unemployed, but rather free people from simple labor and let them do more valuable things.

Robin Li, founder, chairman and CEO of Baidu, holds a similar view. At the China Smart Expo held in Chongqing last year, he pointed out that there are three major misunderstandings about artificial intelligence: the first is that artificial intelligence should look like humans, the second is that the goal of artificial intelligence is to learn to think like humans, and the third is that artificial intelligence will pose a threat to humans.

But a year later, people's misunderstanding of artificial intelligence is slowly dispelling. At the opening ceremony and summit of this year's Smart Expo, Robin Li talked about his observations on artificial intelligence: In the past, people were happy to discuss whether artificial intelligence had defeated the world Go champion, but today they are more concerned about the convenience and efficiency improvement brought by artificial intelligence; in the past, people talked about driverless cars driving on highways, but today they are more concerned about how driverless cars can ensure safety, reduce costs, and how they can run on open roads in a low-speed environment; in the past, robots that look like humans can climb stairs and get up by themselves after falling down would become a hot topic, but today people are more concerned about how much value machines can bring to people as assistants. These are all machines serving the convenience of human life and work.

In addition, in the entire venue covered by 5G , Jack Ma also talked about his knowledge and understanding of the 5G era. He believes that 1G and 2G are mainly based on personal computers, 3G and 4G are mainly based on mobile phones, and 5G is all about terminals, and everything that is powered will be connected. The Internet era is about the relationship between people and people, people and machines, and the 5G era is about the relationship between machines and machines, terminals and terminals. The 5G era will leave many companies in the 4G and 3G era forever, including BAT.

He said that only by making good use of 5G, respecting 5G, and taking on the innovation and responsibility of the 5G era, can we enter the 5G era. In the 5G era, communications will account for no more than 20% at most, while the Internet of Things will account for more than 80%. Everything in the smart world will have a chip, and these chips will be able to talk, calculate, pay, and communicate with each other.
