Chongqing Yazaki Instrument Co., Ltd. cooperates with BlackBerry to develop a variety of safe digital LCD instruments for the Chinese market
Now deployed in Geely and Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor's new generation series vehicles
Shanghai, China – February 14, 2023 – BlackBerry recently announced that Chongqing Yazaki Instrument Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Chongqing Yazaki), a leading Chinese Tier 1 automotive supplier, has now entered mass production of a new digital LCD instrument panel built on the BlackBerry QNX® Neutrino® real-time operating system (RTOS).
Currently, this new generation of digital instrument panel has been deployed in a series of models of Geely Auto and Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor, providing users with a more intuitive, personalized and interactive driving experience while ensuring the functional safety, network security and reliability of key systems.
With the help of BlackBerry QNX's high performance, reliability and security technology, Chongqing Yaqi has created a number of cutting-edge products, including 10.25-inch, 10.25-inch dual-link, 12.3-inch, and 12.3-inch dual-link digital LCD instrument panels. Through innovative human-machine-interface (HMI) technology, the most suitable interactive interface between cars and people is realized, and the information display method is further improved. This not only helps to achieve intuitive and personalized interior design, but also provides end users with a safe, intelligent and seamless driving experience.
As a full-featured operating system, the QNX® Neutrino® real-time operating system (RTOS) not only ensures the reliability of the next generation of products in the automotive industry, but also supports the 64-bit ARMv8 computing platform and the Intel x86-64 architecture. The operating system has passed the ISO 26262 ASIL D certification of TÜV Rheinland, Germany, which can help OEMs and automakers accelerate product launches and build safety-certified connected cars.
