Has anyone used the LTC2941 single-cell fuel gauge? Is the ground terminal of the LTC2941 connected to the negative terminal of the battery B- or the GND of the circuit board? [Copy link]

Has anyone used the LTC2941 single-cell fuel gauge? Is the LTC2941 ground terminal connected to the negative terminal of the battery B- or the GND of the circuit board? The battery protection chip is on the board. What are the pitfalls to avoid?

Has anyone used a single-cell lithium battery fuel gauge? The fuel gauge collects the current flowing into and out of the battery through the sampling resistor in real time, and calculates the remaining power SOC through time integration, coulomb counter method or algorithm. However, there is still a question. When the fuel gauge is used for the first time, the battery may not have power yet. At this time, the inflow current * time - outflow current * time is not the remaining power SOC. How does the fuel gauge determine the current battery power?
