Infineon’s next generation automotive MCU will be available for sampling by the end of 2023

According to news on December 1, Infineon stated that the next generation Aurix microcontroller will use embedded non-volatile memory, specifically resistive random access memory (RRAM), instead of embedded flash memory (eFlash), and will be used in Manufactured on TSMC's 28nm node.


It is reported that samples of the Autrix TC4x series microcontrollers based on TSMC's 28nm eFlash technology have been delivered to major customers, but the first batch of samples based on TSMC's 28nm RRAM technology will be provided to customers by the end of 2023.


Infineon said that the Autrix TCPx series microcontrollers are specially designed for ADAS and provide new E/E architecture and affordable AI applications.
